Holy moly it's already time to wrap up A Feat of Lunatic Daring Season 3! Chad and Nick sit down to discuss the season behind them, unveiling their Top 5 Top 5 lists and picking their favorite thing that they watched over the past 24 episodes. Did Stallone punch his way into our hearts? What was up with Gladys? Why, again, is Kermit wearing a freaking swim cap? And how many spots will Harry Belafonte take up? Answer: more than one. DAY-O!
#314: “There is No Escape From This Pain”
Season 3 of The Muppet Show comes to a merry ole' end with actress Lynn Redgrave and a genuine angel, Cheryl Ladd! Piggy pulls a Nomi, Kermit takes a beating, and Gonzo's into some real weird-- No. We don't kink shame around here, okay?
#313: “Penguins Among Us”
This Muppet show is going country again with special guest stars Roger Miller, Roy Rogers & Gene Evans. Chickens! Cows! Hideously malformed infants! This one has it all!
#312: “Brave Girl”
A couple of good ones this week, with German bombshell Ekle Sommer and the Italian Stallion himself, Sylvester Stallone! Link takes a giant leap, Kermit fights off some groupies, and good Lord man whose idea was it to give Beaker a chainsaw? He's had enough, and he's out for blood!
#311: “Lack of International Understanding”
Okay. Rough week. The Spike Milligan episode of The Muppet Show is kinda racist and we’re not gonna pull punches on this one, folks. It’s real bad. Singer Leslie Uggams’ appearance comes across better, but any episode looks great compared to the problematic minefield that is the Muppets’ salute to internationality. Lack of International Understanding, indeed. Oh, and Big Bird shows up too.
#310: “Me Not Crazy?”
It’s another great week on Lunatic Daring with the one-two punch of actor Lesley Anne Warren and Hollywood legend Danny Kaye! Gonzo lifts off, Statler and Waldorf sit out, and did we just learn something very personal about Link Hogthrob?
#308: “Turn the World Around”
THE. GREATEST. MUPPLESHOCKS. EPISODE. EVER. This week’s spegical guest stap is living legend and King of Calypso Harry Belafonte! This episode is so good, and so important, and so… everything, we had to give it its own show. So enjoy, ladies and genkelfens.
#307: “Pathétique”
ARE YOU READY for very special guest star Helen Reddy? Heads will roll! A camel will dance! And damn that Beauregard is a real dummy, huh?
#306: “The Burdens of Being an International Sex Goddess”
Oh boy. The Muppet Show is joined this week by special guest stars international sex goddess Raquel Welch and veteran character actor James Coco. Piggy's all woman, Robin's all wet, and Fozzie's all hot and-- I THOUGHT THIS WAS A FAMILY SHOW!!!
#305: “Shameless Woogie Boogie”
This week on Lunatic Daring, we have the monosyllabic maestro Liberace and actress Marisa Berenson! The Chef’s got a problem, Piggy’s got a plan, and who is that kid tied up in Marisa’s basement? I’m sorry. What?
#304: “Where Do I Sign?”
It's the 70's, so we're just gonna keep on truckin' on these here episodes of The Muppet Show. This week Chad faces his fears with special guest Alice Cooper and the show gets derailed by country legend Loretta Lynn. The Swinetrek takes a trip, the Rhyming Song takes a dive, and Kermit and Gozno take the train to Pittsburg, with a transfer in Altoona. All aboard!
#303: “Some May Harbor Suspicions”
Another week, another two episodes of The Muppet Show, this time with special guests singer Pearl Bailey and actor Jean Stapleton. Floyd goes metal, Harry goes wild, and who is the mysterious Black Knight? The world will forever wonder!
#302: “Rogue Adhesive”
This week on A Feat of Lunatic Daring: Season 3 of The Muppet Show continues with special guests country star Roy Clark and one of the funniest people to ever live, the beloved Gilda Radner. Banjos are picked, Link gets toasted, Piggy falls for Wayne, the theater's on fire, and seven-foot carrot-- Wait. THE THEATER'S ON FIRE?!?
#301: “Miss Thing Annie Thing-Thing”
THE RETURN! Season Three introduces us to some new places and new faces and special guest stars Kris Kristofferson, Rita Coolidge, and Leo Sayer! Sam gets confused, Piggy gets jealous, and... is Annie Sue as sweet as she seems or is she really Nomi from Showgirls?
